L’Alezan Méandres Pet Nat
Regular price $33.00
Winemaker: Patricia and Rémi Bonneton
Appellation: Ardèche, Rhône, France
Grape Varieties: Syrah, Cinsault
Patricia and Rémi Bonneton are making some of the most exciting natural wines in
the Rhône Valley! Méandres consists of directly pressed Syrah and Cinsault. After a
few weeks in vats, the wine is bottled and aged on the lees for six months. The wine
was disgorged in early 2022, and no sugar was added at bottling. Neither sulfites
nor additives were used at any stage of the winemaking process. This pétillant
naturel (pét-nat) gives us notes of strawberries and watermelon, is dry, yet silky.
This is great wine to begin the evening with, sharing with friends and family. In
terms of pairing, it could be great while snacking on charcuterie, could pair well
with borscht, and could be a lot of fun with a red fruit based dessert.
No pesticides are used in their vines (this includes the vines they obtained in 2017), nor have they been for a very long time, if ever. No additives, including sulfites, are used during the winemaking process. We are very excited to bring in the wines of this very talented and wonderful couple.
