Z Blanc is 100% Viognier that bursts with generous tropical fruit. This year, for the first time, the grapes have been macerated on their skins for 3 days before being pressed into demi-muid to complete fermentation and then left on the lees for ten months. Big aromas, distinct apricot stone fruit, a racy line of acid and a spicy note of anise in the finish that balances the broad, bitter notes you'll find in this grape when grown in this climate.
Ardèche is one of France's lesser-known regions, situated west of the Rhône River and north of Provence. Some exciting winemakers are working here, and Méryl and Géraldine Croizier of "La Vrille et le Papillon" can certainly be counted among them. The grape clusters are left whole during the fermentation process. The wine undergoes carbonic maceration for one week. This 100% Grenache is very easy to drink and well balanced.
