This is a beautiful slightly oxidized baby. Apples, slightly bruised, super dry and freaking delicious.
The wines of Domaine de Juchepie allow us to discover the incredible potential of Chenin Blanc. The pressing of the grapes is done very slowly using a small manual press that is cranked by hand over a period of 24 hours. Eddy gets up every two hours during the night to turn the crank! This dry Chenin (1g/L of residual sugar) presents apricots, white flowers, curry, cloves, and pineapples on the nose. Honestly, one could come up with so many other descriptors, that we don’t have enough room on this page! It could pair well with goat cheese, scallops, cooked citrus, chicken, and white fish cooked in beurre blanc. Can be enjoyed now, or put on the side for many, many years.
